Primesite Homes has consistently won prestigious awards since the Master Builders House of the Year Awards began in 1993 – more than 50 to-date. What’s more a large number of our clients continue to recommend us to their friends and family.

The awards are based on a combination of workmanship, functionality design and style. For a design build company like ours it is particularly pleasing to have confirmed that the total package for our clients is right up there.

Recognising Building Excellence

The Registered Master Builders House of the Year celebrate and acknowledge the achievements of it’s members. Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards are presented to competition entries throughout New Zealand. These awards are highly prestigious and confi rm the Registered Master Builders Federation’s commitment to building excellence.

What do the quality marks mean for you?

The quality marks are only available to award winning entrants. They are a tangible stamp you can use to demonstrate the high quality of your work and your status as an award-winning builder/contractor.

What does a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award mean?

Each entry is judged and marked out of a possible 2,000 points.

  • Bronze is awarded to entrants achieving at least 1,500 points or 75% of the points available.
  • Silver is awarded to entrants achieving at least 1,650 points or 80% of the points available.
  • Gold is awarded to entrants achieving at least 1800 points or 90% of the points available.

This means clients can be confident that the award for your property whether Bronze, Silver or Gold – represents an extremely high standard of building.

How many awards are given out?

All entrants have the chance to receive a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award. At the same time if a property does not achieve the minimum of 1500 points then no award will be given.

How does the judging work?

The entries in each category are judged by the same judges across New Zealand. This ensures consistency throughout the country i.e. a Gold Award presented in Queenstown represents the same high standard as a Gold Award presented in Auckland or New Plymouth.

Due to the commitment of the Registered Master Builders Federation, principal sponsor PlaceMakers, and the national family of sponsors, the awards structure and judging process is constantly being updated and enhanced to promote quality standards and provide fairer, more representative and recognisable results for all participants and the public.

Building Awards: 1993 – 2016

Since 1993 Primesite Homes has received a total of 54 awards to date. These include Supreme Category Winners, Home Renovation Awards, Interior Design Awards, Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Homes Awards, and new home awards across a wide range of price brackets from the affordable ‘under $250,000’ through to the premium ‘$600,000 to $1 million’.
